A number of species of fish are still in the excellent to good range for fishing this time of year. Starting with Largemouth Bass are in the good range mid.-September and the excellent range through the month of October. Recommended baits to use are crank baits, plastic worms & jigs. Shell Crackers are also in the good range from mid-September through October. Recommended baits to use are crickets, red wigglers & small top water lures such as buzz baits or poppers. Bluegill are in the excellent range in the month of September and the good range through the month of October. Baits recommended to use are crickets, red wigglers & small top water lures such as buzz baits or poppers. Black Crappie are in the good range from mid-September through November. Baits recommended to use are jigs, red wigglers & minnows. Channel Catfish are in the good range in the month of September through mid-October.
